Hi, I’m Kumrashan Indranil Iyer (a.k.a Indranil).

With two decades of experience spanning cybersecurity, information security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), data science, and data analytics, I’ve had the privilege of driving transformation and fortifying digital defenses across the banking, financial services, and technology sectors.

Whether it’s building AI-driven security solutions, decoding complex data, or steering large-scale cyber programs, I’ve been at the intersection where innovation safeguards critical assets and data powers resilience. My journey has taken me from executive boardrooms to security operations centers, always with a mission: to protect, to lead, and to make technology work for people, not against them.

But beyond the research and war stories, I’m deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of cyber and data professionals and giving back to the global community. Cyber Science AI is my space to cut through the hype, demystify core concepts in data science, AI, and machine learning, and spotlight practical applications that drive real-world impact, while exploring how we can responsibly build intelligent systems for a smarter, data-driven future.
